The value placed on a business can cause discussion around what would seem a reasonable amount based on the available information. There are many ways of arriving at a valuation and the purpose of the calculator is to aid discussions of the various factors, so we arrive at a reasonable figure.
For a representative amount complete the average net profits and net assets figures and then select an appropriate multiple based on the guidance notes given. In addition the individual business owners and their respective share holdings can also be completed which will provide the sums assured needed for each.
